Put A Sock In(On) It

Oh, where to begin? Probably with wishing you all a belated Happy New Year’s! Sorry that it’s taken so long, but I’ve been busy for a while now over the new year’s start, so I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to update and post here.

That said, if you’ve checked in over the last week or so, you may have noticed that I finished uploading and posting all of the 2024 season racing vids for Super GT and both the American and Japanese GR Cup series. That’s something I had been meaning to do for a while now, so I sat down a while back and banged them out. I’ve also spent time making them easier to find for you. Now going forward, if you go under the Video link in the upper menu bar and then under the Racing link you’ll find I’ve added menu links for each year that I have vids posted for, so it’s super easy now to find and watch the series you want to follow. This format will continue for future vids posted during the upcoming seasons.

As for other news, I’ve got a few new mods planned for this year that I’ll post here as I install them. I also want to start posting some self-made vids from drives, etc. and maybe some DIY vids. The vids are still up in the air idea-wise, but it’s something I want to dive further into as time goes on. Winter is in full bloom here currently, so everything’s on hold until the weather doesn’t suck any more.

And lastly, speaking of winter – and summer too for that matter, I introduce my latest creation to you: The Shift Sock™ Do you have an aluminum shift knob and are sick of burning or freezing your hand during temperature extremes, yet don’t want to change knobs because your knob is the shit? Fret no more! The Shift Sock™ is here! Made with a 100% original old dress sock, Shift Sock™ is custom manufactured in my bedroom using top quality scissors to be an exact fit for whatever size knob you may have. And the best part? It only costs $FREE.99! And no shipping costs either because you make it yourself in your own bedroom. Such a deal – everyone should have one!

Yeah, I love my shift knob, but got sick of roasting/freezing my hand for those few days a year when it got nuts out, so I came up with the cheap-ass solution you see pictured above. Not stylish by any means, but it works, and well, so I just leave it in the glovebox for those crazy days. Life is good now, so I thought I’d share the idea.
