First post, so let’s make it a good one. Welcome to ShiroBRZ.com! My name is Eric and I am the author/creator/photographer of this site. There’s already some info about me and the site on the Profile page, so feel free to take a look there if you like, but I’ll cover it here a bit as well.
I started this site simply because I wanted to share the experience of owning my new 2022 Subaru BRZ Limited with other owners and fans. It also serves as a record or log of my BRZ and the various things I’ve already done and will be doing to it over the years that I own it. This is not the first time I’ve done this – I used to have a similar site many years back when I owned my 2007 Honda Fit Sport that was titled “Fitopia“. Maybe, you’ve seen that site as well, and if so, awesome to have you back for its sequel.
Myself, I’m an IT professional working in educational IT currently. I’ve been an automotive fan for quite a long time, but I also have many other interests as well that I pursue. One of the biggest is music, and I’ve been involved with it in some form or another for most of my life. About six years ago I decided to learn the guitar as a challenge to myself since I always thought I’d never be able to do it, but, Surprise!, I actually have gotten pretty proficient with it and enjoy it immensely – at least when my fingers agree to cooperate. I have also played keyboards/synths for over thirty-five years now and am an avid listener with extremely eclectic tastes.
Another long-time interest is photography. I have been shooting for most of my life in some form or another, growing up with film and then eventually transitioning into digital as time progressed. I shoot both media currently, and I also dabble in some video here and there, but not much. I have shot paid work for a number of years now, primarily in the event, automotive, and fine art genres, but not exclusively. I’ve had work exhibited and published both regionally and nationally, and I’ve also taught photography locally too. I’m always open to work requests, so if you have something in mind, feel free to drop my a line.
Speaking of photos, the one above was taken out on an evening drive shortly after buying the car. The location is an abandoned wrecking yard that I’ve passed by fairly often, so I thought it would make for an interesting background and I believe I was right.
Anyway, I don’t want to drag this post out too long or become overbearing, so this is as good a place as any to stop. We’ll have plenty of time to get acquainted as time goes on, so for today, thanks again for stopping by and checking out ShiroBRZ.com. Your time and support are always appreciated to the utmost.
